Schools Combine to Shed Light on Newly Discovered Black Hole

In the last few days, schools have combined on two separate days to image a newly discovered black hole system, known as MAXI J1659-152.By pooling the data from consecutive FT observing sessions, we may be able to detect a periodic variability, which will indicate the orbital period of this binary system.

See here for more information on this system.

We are particularly grateful to those that participated and hope to be able to update you on our work soon.
