FT South Contributes to Valuable Pulsar Research

The FT team were proud to contribute to research being discussed at this week’s American Astronomical Society (AAS) meeting, being held online.

Adelle Goodwin, a postgraduate student at Monash University in Melbourne presented her work on the X-ray emitting pulsar, SAX J1808.6-3654. She combined X-ray data with observations at optical wavelengths, some of which came from Faulkes Telescope South.

Her work, in conjunction with that of Assistant Professor Dave Russell at New York University Abu Dhabi, is part of a larger project utilising data from around 40 objects that display similar types of behaviour which Dave Russell and FT Team member, Dr Fraser Lewis, have been studying for over 10 years.
