Dr. Sophie Bartlett – Postdoctoral researcher (Cardiff Uni)

Sophie has a PhD in astronomy and science education and evaluation from Cardiff University. Her research involved developing a series of astronomy-based educational activities and evaluating their impact on secondary school students’ learning experiences in science.

Sophie is now a researcher at Cardiff University in the school of physics and astronomy and in the school of social sciences. She is the evaluation lead for an EU Horizon2020 project, Our Space Our Future. In this role she has developed an evaluation framework to explore and measure the impact of the OurSpace interventions on students, teachers and the public.

Sophie’s role in the Faulkes Telescope Project is as an Educational Resource Developer and Evaluator. She has developed various educational activities for teachers and students, delivered teacher training events and contributes to the Faulkes Telescope Project online and social media presence.
