M57

Teaser:
The iconic Ring Nebula (also known as M57) in the constellation of Lyra is currently visible from all of LCO's northern telescope sites (Hawai'i, Texas, Tenerife). It's a planetary nebula featuring a shell of expanding gas and a central white dwarf in a process similar to that we expect our Sun to undergo in a few billion years time.
