I have noticed that a few people have imaged Jupiter. I'm sure they're after the new impact site.
I can see the difference between the Merope and Dillcam with Jupiter.

The Merope images the disk well, but produces a large Halo. I thought the NO planet imaging rule was in force. Is it?

Hi Oliver,

There are a number of people imaging Jupiter at the moment trying to see the impact.  There is a NO planet rule inforce but most of the people that are imaging at the moment are  Professional Astronomers taking images for Scientific purposes.

Hope that this helps.
