M66 : Member of the Leo Triplett
M66 together with M65 and NGC 3628, form a wonderful triplet of galaxies known as the Leo Triplett.
The spiral arms of this galaxy are slightly deformed, probably due to encounters with its neighbours. It also contains a few pink looking nebulae - signs of star formation.
