Image of the Week

This image of M33, The Triangulum Galaxy was taken by the King's Worcester School in Colour with an exposure time of 120 seconds.

This galaxy can be glimpsed with the naked eye under exceptionally good conditions. For most people, it is the most distant object visible to the naked eye.

It was rediscovered by Charles Messier, and added to his catalogue on August 25, 1764 after the original discovery by Hodierna around 1654.
