Bringing Space to the Classroom, National Astronomy Meeting, Llandudno, 8th July, 2015

As part of the National Astronomy Meeting (NAM) 2015 taking place between the 5th and the 9th of July 2015 in Llandudno, Wales, there will be an educator training session which is scheduled for Wednesday 8th July 2015The educator training day is entitled "Bringing Space to the classroom" and more details can be found at this link

The event is a full-day event being curated by Dr Stacey Habergham from the National Schools' Observatory and Liverpool John Moores University and Dr Sheila Kanani of the RAS with an audience of around 50. The day will cover all aspects of
teaching, from Primary through to 6th form/Key Stage 5, laboratory techniques and demonstrations to specialised equipment and resources.

Since we’re approaching the Easter holidays, it’s likely that this deadline will be extended.

Further, there are bursaries available to allow you to register to the conference for free.

The bursaries are offered by the National Schools Observatory and The Ogden Trust, and will cover the cost of registration (free through the link) and travel expenses up to £50 (but if you are travelling a long distance it may be possible to extend this amount).

There will also be a teacher pack to take away on the day from the session full of resources.
