Hands on Astronomy Teacher Conference, Cardiff, 13 - 17 April, 2015

The Faulkes Telescope Project will be participating in a set of teacher training events in Cardiff in April, 2015 in conjunction with our partners at Cardiff University and the Nationals Schools' Observatory.

The "Hands-on Astronomy" conference will train teachers, technicians and other educators on teaching astronomy in the classroom along with curriculum links and other resources for teachers and students. Primarily aimed at secondary school teachers, the program consists of a 4-day conference, which is split into 2 separately themed 2-day conferences.

On 13-14 April, the topics are based around the Solar System and Space Missions and on 15-16 April, the conference will explore Stars, Galaxies and Cosmology. Finally, on 17 April, there will be the opportunity to visit Stonehenge.
