FREE Science and Maths-based INSET days!

The Space Academy partnership has been working with Tribal PLC and DBIS
to develop and deliver a series of FREE INSET SESSIONS FOR POST-16
TEACHERS OF SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS.

These will be held in November and December 2009 at various venues
around the country and, in addition, have a bursary of £400 per
participant that can be claimed post-event to cover teacher release
costs, travel etc (subject to post-course evaluation).

The sessions are themed around how Earth Observation, GPS and planetary
exploration can be used as contexts for core curriculum activities in A
Level Physics, chemistry, biology/environmental sciences and mathematics
for vocational science and engineering. The sessions have been devised by
Advanced Skills Teachers and other outstanding teachers who have been
working with current practising GMES scientists.
