The FT Team Needs Help to Image Exciting Star Cluster

As part of the FT Team's continuing research into massive stars and open clusters, they are focusing on a southern star cluster, known as 30 Doradus (30 Dor).

30 Dor is located within the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC), which is handily placed for morning sessions with FT South. It is an extremely active star formation region at a distance of 180,000 light years from us.

We have currently available one hour's observing for next week (2nd - 6th March), which we are able to allocate to FT users in 30 minute blocks on a first-come first-served basis. This one hour is from 10.30 to 11.30 UT each day.

If you're interested, please email support@faulkes-telescope.com as soon as possible and we can provide you with the target's co-ordinates, filter and exposure times.
